Responsive web design (based on Bootstrap), front-end development and graphic design for BIRN (Balkan Investigative Reporting Network) Macedonia, for the Religious Properties Uncovered (“Верски имоти под лупа“) interactive database.
The database provides access to publicly available information about the religious properties of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Archdiocese of Ohrid (MOC-AO) and the Islamic Religious Community (IRC) in the Republic of North Macedonia, up to 2025.
The landing page reveals the most indicative parameters and offers quick access to specific property pages, featuring link groups such as: square meters of property owned by MOC-OA or IRC, municipality with the largest number of religious properties, percentage of all properties per religious entity etc.
Data can be filtered by religious entity, property groups and types, as well as municipality, and explored through religious property profile pages and group results views with many visualizations (powered by Highcharts).
The design is strong on iconography, colors and contrast. It is optimized for use on all kinds of devices.
